Knockbreda Methodist Church has been in existence for 57 years. For 35 years we had a church sharing arrangement with St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. This relationship was terminated in 2006 and we returned to our original building on Rosetta Road.
The congregation, Council and the Minister have undertaken a complete review of church life, church buildings, community outreach, style of worship, future developments and long term financial structures. A strategy to address each of these issues has been identified and a planned programme commenced in 2006.
Substantial investment has improved the standard of the property and more developments, with God’s guidance, are planned for the future. A major modernisation of the Knockbreda Church building and grounds has recently been undertaken. To meet plans for the future we intend to develop our buildings to meet the Christian needs of the community. Knockbreda leaders are committed to the development of a church that will be exciting, innovative and centred in the work of God.
The fellowship within the Church has grown and we have become a caring, vibrant congregation. The Church Organisations are expanding and the development of ministries overseas has created interest for our young people. Knockbreda has a caring, Christian fellowship and the potential to develop significantly over the next few years.
