We are most fortunate in Knockbreda to have a number of retired gentlemen who do “whatever needs done” in the Church, odd jobs, setting up for many and various events and setting out the chairs etc., for Sunday worship.
This is a job for Tuesday mornings when up to 10 men meet to do what’s necessary, have a cup of tea and a bun, graciously baked by June Mc Bride. The ‘A’ Team is further augmented by other notable members of the congregation, Andy Hutchinson, Terry Jackson, Stanley Stewart and Jim Taylor.
At the earliest opportunity we all sit down for “The Tea” and a brief chat embracing daily subjects of interest such as sport, religious affairs, some politics, all of this injected with humour, of which there is plenty. Information about Church events is shared and discussed with an objective view.
Every aspect of the Lord’s work is important and the fellowship we have together in this way deepens our desire to do God’s will in our lives and in Knockbreda and to support the Work of God in this part of His vineyard.
