We are a group of ladies who meet at 8.00pm on Tuesday evenings fortnightly from September to December and February to April. We have a varied programme with something to suit all tastes.
The Motto of the MWI is "To Know Christ and Make Him Known".
The aims are :-
- To enable members through fellowship with each other to deepen their personal commitment to Jesus Christ
- To relate the teachings of Jesus Christ to home life, the Church, community and the world and
- To share in the Mission of the World Church and to provide a link with women of other Churches and women throughout the World.
As well as our own meetings we have an open meeting each year to which we invite women’s groups from neighbouring Churches. We in turn accept invitations to their open meetings. There is an Annual Women’s World Day of Prayer Service and a Women’s Link Meeting attended by women’s groups of all denominations.
The MWI have an Easter Offering Service, a Service in October each year and an annual day conference. Our ladies raised funds during the year from the Fashion Show, Easter Offering and Missionary Boxes. They also donated £25 to each of the Methodist Missions in Northern Ireland.
Recently the ladies of the MWI welcomed visitors from the district and they were entertained by Liz, Janet and Rosaleen, known as "Creations". They provided a sparkling show of Flower Arranging and Song.
The large turnout was very appreciative of the variety and content of their message.

Every Methodist woman whether she attends MWI or not is automatically a member, so if you have never attended please come along as you would be made most welcome.
