In Knockbreda we have a well attended Women’s House Group which meets on alternate Tuesdays at 7.30 p.m. in the home of Maurice & Susan Todd. This is a very relaxed atmosphere where we learn and support one another.
After the initial cup of tea and chat, we turn our attention to the current topic of Bible study "30 DAYS TO UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE IN 15 MINUTES A DAY" - information that unlocks the whole Bible so that you can jump in at any point and know right where you are. Although we may be at different stages in our walk with Christ, no-one is made to feel that they don’t "fit in".
All contributions to the study are valued. We learn together in a relaxed atmosphere to answer and explain those aspects of the Christian faith that puzzle us.
As well as learning and growing in our faith together, emotional support is also available within the group and we should add that not least there is a great deal of humour. Being part of a House Group has not only deepened our friendship but more importantly has shown us as Christians that we must take time to read and understand the Scriptures.
It has helped us to know Jesus our Saviour in a more personal way and to learn what it means to "cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you".
